submission guidelines. Please follow them to the T and not risk a rejection.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL EDITORS:
Reprints are considered accompanied with
an acknowledgement to the first publication.
Please follow each editor’s specific guidelines regarding multiple
submissions.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome if we're
told upfront that it's been sent to other publications. We request notification if your submission has been accepted elsewhere.
Please include the word Submission
in the subject line of the email followed by the story title. Place your submission within the body of the email. Attachments
will be deleted without being opened. Also supply us with a short bio for use if your story is accepted. Apollo's
Lyre requests First Electronic Rights for 60 days and archival rights for 90 days. At the moment, we are a nonpaying market.
Flash Fiction 1-500
words

Please submit original stories in any genre up to 500 words. No gratuitous
violence or sex. Reprints are accepted, but include the name of the original publication under the title of your story.
For example:
My Story
Originally published in Apollo’s Lyre (year of publication)
Use either Times New Roman
or Courier 12 pt. fonts. Single space the text with two spaces between paragraphs. Use * to indicate *italicized text* and
_ to signify _underlined test._
Your submission e-mail must
contain the following.

Your E-mail Address
Word Count
Please include the word
"submission" and the story title in the subject line.
Paste the story into the
body of the e-mail. Attachments will not be opened. Please send one story at a time and wait until you've heard from me before
sending another.
If you've also sent the
story to another publication for consideration, please let me know that.
It's hard to write a good
story with a beginning, a middle and an end in 500 words and under. Surprise me! I don't care for stories that rely on puns, but I do like stories
with meaning, stories that make me think, stories that make me laugh. Remember, with a story that's only 500 words long, every
word must count.
Flash Fiction 501-1000 Guidelines

stanza breaks). Maximum five poems per submission. Poems in any style are accepted, from free verse to Shakespearean sonnet.
Poems containing gratuitous violence or sex will be returned unread. Reprints are accepted. Please include the name of the
